About

I was born in the land of Rioja, Jabugo and “Death in the Afternoon.” At twelve, I was incarcerated in a Swiss boarding school. I went to Penn, then got incarcerated all over again at places like Chiat/Day, Kirshenbaum, Spike DDB and mcgarrybowen. In between staff jobs, I shot a couple of films which got picked up by the Sundance Channel. I’m still waiting for Robert Redford to call.

Closest to my heart, though, is “The Unzipped Truth,” a blog I started a few years ago and which now has tons of enthusiastic, vocal, and slightly mad followers. I guess you could call it doodle-based cultural criticism, but it’s easier to just check it out yourself on The Huffington Post. And if you’ve got a few more minutes, read an article about how I encouraged New Yorkers to discover it through provocative graffiti, or watch a video about how I promoted  it by holding a protest against overpriced art inside the Whitney. The guards were not psyched.
